St Mirren has appointed former Scotland international James McClean as their new manager following the departure of manager Neil Lennon.
McClean, who previously managed St Mirren in the Scottish Premier League, is set to take over from Lennon at the club on a one-year contract.
The move comes after a disappointing season for St Mirren last year and is seen as a sign of renewed interest in the club's future.
McClean, who had been linked with a move to Celtic during his time at Rangers, was given the job by the board of directors.
"I am delighted to be joining St Mirren and I look forward to building on what we have achieved this season," said McClean.
"St Mirren have a strong squad and I believe that we can build upon our current strengths to achieve even greater things in the future."
In addition to McClean, St Mirren also announced the appointment of former Celtic and Aberdeen midfielder Ryan Coyle as their first-team coach.
Coyle, who played for Celtic and Celtic Academy, will take charge of the club's youth teams ahead of the start of the 2019/20 season.
"It is great to see another experienced figure join our coaching staff," said Coyle.
"Their experience and knowledge of the game will help us continue to develop our young players and ensure they are well prepared for the challenges of professional football."
